Senator Mike Rounds, who represents South Dakota in the U.S. Senate, shared updates on recent meetings and collaborations via his Twitter account in July 2025.

On July 17, 2025, Senator Rounds highlighted a meeting with a former intern and student representative: "Great to see Griffin, a previous intern in our office, and a student representative for the South Dakota Board of Regents. We are proud of our work alongside them in getting MadLabs accredited for Dakota State University students."

The following day, July 18, he posted about engaging with healthcare professionals: "Met with South Dakota members from the Physical Therapy Association and discussed key issues impacting their profession and patients, including Medicare Payment Reform."

Later that same day, Senator Rounds also met with agricultural representatives: "Met with members from the SD Soybean Association during their trip to DC. We discussed the impact of trade agreements, the need for a strong biodiesel industry & an updated Farm Bill!"

Rounds has served as one of South Dakota's senators since 2015. The meetings referenced reflect ongoing legislative interests in higher education accreditation processes, healthcare payment systems such as Medicare reform, and agricultural policy topics like trade agreements and biofuel development.
