Description

Business Day at the Legislature

Business Day reflects our role as a leading voice of business by bringing local business and community leaders to Pierre to advocate for sound business policy, to review legislative activities and issues, to participate in Business Caucus, to strengthen relationships with policymakers and the business community, and recognize business and legislative leaders.

Legislators are traditionally hosted to the reception by local chambers of commerce and the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Our thanks to the Aberdeen Chamber, Brookings Chamber, Dakota Valley Business Council, Deadwood Chamber, Elevate Rapid City, Greater Madison Chamber, Greater Sioux Falls Chamber, Huron Chamber, Mitchell Chamber, Pierre Chamber, Watertown Chamber and Yankton Thrive for their support!

The Chamber Board of Directors hosts members of the cabinet and constitutional officers.

The annual Business Day at the Legislature program is chaired by Jafar Karim, Director of Governmental Affairs, Black Hills Energy, Rapid City.
