Spring 2023 Registration Now Open at MCC

McHenry County College (MCC) is now accepting registrations for the Spring 2023 semester. The College offers a wide variety of career and technical programs, associate degrees, and dozens of classes that easily transfer.

Students can start with just one class, or work with an advisor to create a plan that aligns with their interests. Many classes are available in-person, online, or as a blend of both, and are offered at various times of the day.

For those looking to hit the ground running in a new career, some of MCC’s latest and most popular programs include entrepreneurial agriculture, welding, nursing, automotive technology, physical therapist assistant, and mobile design and development. A new Cancer Registry Management certificate program also starts in the spring semester.

The College is offering several unique classes in Spring 2023, including two new Psychology classes, “Controversial Issues in Psychology” and “How Did We Get Here? Big History Through the Lens of Psychology.”       For those interested in philosophy, the College is bringing back two classes that aren’t offered frequently. “Eastern Philosophy” will examine ethics, political theory, and reality through the works of philosophers such as Confucius, Lao Tzu, and Buddha. “Living With Death,” another philosophy course, will discuss a variety of topics related to the dying and grief process, ethical and legal issues, and human attitudes toward life and death. There are no prerequisites for the classes.

In addition to already offering college education at a fraction of the cost of a four-year school, MCC offers a variety of scholarships, grants, and payment plans to help students pay for school. Payment options can be found at www.mchenry.edu/payingforcollege.

Registration is open now, and Spring classes start Tuesday, January 17. Visit www.mchenry.edu/start to enroll today.
