Broadway Ave., between Central Ave. and Sebree Pl., will close on Monday, Sept. 19 for street work.
The block of Broadway will remain closed until the block of street is rebuilt and paved. The project is expected to be complete by mid-October. Access will be maintained for local traffic only. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The city maintains 80 miles of street, more than 100 miles of water main, and more than 60 miles of sanitary sewer. Each year, city staff assess the streets, in addition to utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
