Notice of Public Hearing for Fort Pierre Drinking Water Project

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

For

FORT PIERRE DRINKING WATER PROJECT

The City of Fort Pierre is proposing to undertake a water infrastructure system improvement project including construction of a new water treatment plant and/or drinking water storage capacity improvements. The City of Fort Pierre is seeking up to $23,315,000 of funding from the Board of Water and Natural Resources for the water project in the form of a loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program. The expected Drinking Water SRF loan terms are 2.125% for 30 years, and the Board of Water and Natural Resources may forgive all or a portion of the loan principal. The amount and source of funds will be determined by the Board of Water and Natural Resources when the application is presented at a scheduled board meeting.

The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss the proposed project, the proposed financing, and the source of repayment for the loans. The public is invited to attend and comment on the project.   The public hearing will be held on June 21, 2022 at 6:35 pm at the SD Municipal League meeting room, 208 Island Drive, Fort Pierre SD.
