Of the 1,444 people living in Gregory in 2020, 48.2 percent (696) were women and 51.8 percent (748) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Central South Dakota News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 61. In the 65 and over age range, there were 177 females and 145 males.
