A Municipal Election will be held on April 12, 2022 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. If the polls cannot be open because of bad weather, the election may be postponed one week.
The election polls will be open from seven o’clock a.m. to seven o’clock p.m. Mountain Time on the day of the election.
At the election, the following offices will be filled:
Office: Mayor, Two (2) year term
Candidates are: Gloria Hanson & James D. Hoffman
Office: Alderman Ward II, One (1) year term
Candidates are: Scott Deal & Carl Rathbun
Furthermore, the following are unopposed:
Office: Alderman Ward I, Two (2) year term
Unopposed: Larry Cronin
Office: Alderman Ward III, Two (2) year term
Unopposed: Rick Cronin
The polling place for this election of this municipality will be at the Community Youth Involved Center, 19 East Main Avenue, Fort Pierre, SD 57532.
Voters with disabilities may contact the city finance officer for information and special assistance in absentee voting or polling place accessibility.
