Senator Mike Rounds, who represents South Dakota in the U.S. Senate, recently posted several messages on social media highlighting support for athletes and local events.

On February 6, 2026, Rounds extended his encouragement to American athletes participating in the Winter Olympics: “Best of luck to all of the athletes competing on Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics. We know you will make us proud!”

Two days later, on February 8, 2026, he posted a brief message: “Good luck, Grey!”

Later that same day, Rounds reflected on his experience attending a major local event: “Had a great time in Rapid City last weekend at the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo. Ranching plays a major role in South Dakota’s economy and way of life. This event highlights the hard work and tradition of producers across the region.”

Rounds has served as U.S. Senator for South Dakota since January 6, 2015 and is an active member of committees such as Appropriations and Armed Services (https://www.rounds.senate.gov/). He previously served as governor of South Dakota and maintains offices throughout the state in Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, as well as Washington D.C. His committee assignments reflect interests in national security and agriculture, areas important to his constituents.
