Senator Mike Rounds, U.S. Senator for South Dakota, recently shared updates on his activities and engagements through a series of posts on social media.

On February 10, 2026, Rounds posted about a meeting with local representatives to discuss substance use prevention: “Last week I met with South Dakotans from Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America to have an important conversation about substance use prevention.”

Later the same day, he described participating in a technology summit focused on artificial intelligence: “Last week, I had the opportunity to take part in a conversation at the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) Intersect Summit with Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture, moderated by Jason Oxman, President and CEO of ITI. We had a productive conversation on AI and its key role in”.

In another post dated February 10, 2026, Rounds congratulated Grey Zabel for his athletic achievements: “Grey Zabel is a former Pierre Governor football player and now a Superbowl Champion with the Seattle Seahawks. Congratulations to Grey and his entire family on this accomplishment. You have made South Dakota proud!”

According to his official website, Rounds has served as U.S. Senator for South Dakota since January 6, 2015 (source). He represents the state from offices located in Pierre, Rapid City, Sioux Falls and Aberdeen as well as Washington D.C., and holds memberships on committees such as Appropriations and Armed Services (source). Prior to joining the Senate, he was governor of South Dakota and developed experience in business sectors including insurance and real estate (source).
